Obituary

FELIX UGARTE SR. Felix Ugarte, Sr., 90, was called to be with our Lord on Monday, December 10, 2012. He was born in Natalia, Texas and resided in Laredo for 57 years. He was a W.W. II veteran who received various medals. He was very active in Holy Redeemer Church as a Eucharistic Minister, Cursillista and a member of Adoracion Nocturna. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and awesome grandfather. He was constantly ready to help anyone at anytime. He always had a wave and a smile for everyone that crossed his path. He had a heart of gold and filled with faith and love. His famous saying was "Viva La Paz." He truly showed the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cruz Ugarte; his sisters, Clara Reyes, Ramona Villarreal; brothers, Pascual Ugarte and Jose Ugarte. Felix Ugarte is survived by his children, Amparo Ugarte, Felix (Emily) Ugarte, Jr., Esperanza (Kenneth) Reveteriano, Raymundo (Cathy) Ugarte, Maria Lourdes Ugarte and Berta (George) Banuelos. Grandchildren, Monique, John Paul, Edward, Jose Felix, Kenny, Erika, Michael Ray, Zachary, Cejay, Kaycee and Anthony. 6 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Trine Arreola, Lupe Castro and Cunda Enriquez. Brothers-in-Law, George Vasquez and Juan Vasquez. Also numerous other relatives and many friends. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10 a.m at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Everyone to meet at the church for services. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Veteran's Section of the Laredo City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
