FERMIN L. GARCIA Fermin L. Garcia, 90, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Garcia was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fermin and Guadalupe Garcia. Wife, Otila R. Garcia. 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his children, Dolores Casillas, Guadalupe Garcia, Nicolas R. Garcia, Ana Maria Garcia, Fermin Garcia, III. and Juan Manuel Garcia. Grandchildren that he raised, Erica (Jesus) Quiroz, Michelle Garcia and Hector Soto. Also other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving him are 3 sisters and 1 brother. A special heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David H. Cruz, Nurses on Wheels, Ms. Isabel Chavez, Maura Salazar, Ms. Annie, Veronica Hernandez and all their staff. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 9 a.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
