FILIBERTO GALVAN Filiberto Galvan, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his residence at the age of 78. Mr. Galvan was born in in Bustamante Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Marcos Galvan who passed away in 1968 and Juana A. Galvan who passed away in 1994, by his two sisters Herminia Galvan who passed away in 1988 and Maria Galvan Rodriguez who passed away in 2001, his two brothers Zenon Galvan who passed away in 1991, and Juan Galvan who passed away in 1999 and by his sister-in-law Aurora Galvan. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Pablo (Rosa) Galvan, Salvador (Maricela) Galvan, Jesus Galvan and Josefina (Francisco) De La Cruz. A special nephew and niece; Juan Jose (Irma) Rodriguez. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Highway. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9a.m. at San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
