FRANCISCO JAVIER DIAZ
It is with great sadness that the family of Francisco Javier Diaz announces his passing, after a brief illness, on 2/26/19.
Javier will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Norma Bibi (Carlos) Lopez, Laura (Mario) Tenorio, Rosa (Scott) Thompson and Anna (Anthony Limuel; as well as his nephews, nieces and several friends. Javier leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Apollo and Emma. Javier was predeceased by his parents, Olivia and Francisco Diaz.
A native of Laredo, Texas, Javier graduated from Martin High School in 1972. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1976, with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He then began his career as a computer system analyst, working for the Internal Revenue Service. While working for the IRS, he relocated to Washington, D.C., where he lived the past 40 years.
Javier will always be remembered for his kind and adventurous spirit. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, music, reading and spending time with family and friends. He found great joy in caring for his dogs, Apollo and Emma, whom he loved very much. Javier was a highly intelligent person who was passionate about politics and many other subjects. He also had a strong sense of humor and enjoyed sharing laughs with those around him.
Javier will be dearly missed by family and the many friends he had. We would like to invite you to join us in celebrating his life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
