FRANCISCO E. "PANCHO" ORTIZ
Francisco E. "Pancho" Ortiz, 78, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mr. Ortiz was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life-long resident.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria de la Luz C. Ortiz.
Parents, Jesus and Teresa E. Ortiz.
Daughter, Zulema Ortiz.
Brothers, Armando Ortiz and Esperanza Ortiz Gamez.
He is survived by his children, Maria de la Luz "Lucy" (Mauricio Jr.) Martinez, Belinda (Homero) Rodriguez, Juanita Zamarripa, Jesus Ricardo Ortiz, Jesus (Teresa) Ortiz.
Grandchildren, Kimberly Vargas, Nuno Martinez, Daniel Rodriguez, Mia Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Jorge Z. Alegria and Mateo Z. Alegria.
Siblings, Adela Esparza, Jesus Felix Ortiz, Doris Gonzalez and Ricardo Ortiz.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
