FRANCISCO CAñEDO III
Francisco 'Paco' Cañedo III, 46, of Lafayette, Louisiana, died Sunday, October 16, 2016.
Born in Laredo, Texas, on July 20, 1970, to Francisco Jr. and Genevieve Cañedo, a graduate of J. W. Nixon High School, pursued to receive a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, from the University of Louisiana, in Lafayette. As a successful engineer, he excelled at a variety of roles in the Oil Industry for more than 15 years.
Paco had a huge heart and was a faithful, loyal friend to all he held dear. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was contagious. He devoted a large part of his life to helping so many.
He enjoyed anything that involved his beloved Ragin Cajuns. He literally wore at least one thing every single day for the last 20 years that promoted his alma mater, particularly on trips abroad and around the country. He, as well, was a lifetime Dallas Cowboys fan.
Paco is survived by his mother, Genevieve Cañedo; his sister and brother-in-law, Christie and Raul Moreno Jr.; his brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Marissa Cañedo; his beloved nephews and niece, Christopher, Christine and Christian (Andy) Moreno and Jr. Cañedo. His uncles, David Hill, Daniel (Juanita) Hill and Denis (Constance) Hill. His lifelong best friends, Dan Velasquez, Fausto Delgado, Frank Quintana, Juan Carlos, Robert Maldonado, Joey Solis and his best friend, and former wife, Dana Paige Cañedo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Cañedo Jr.
His maternal grandparents, Esther & William Hill.
His paternal grandparents, Francisco S. & Rosa S. Cañedo. His most devoted Basset Hounds, Sampson and Delilah – whom he loved deeply.
