FRANCISCO J. MOLINA
On 4 March 2019, Francisco J. Molina, 78, was called to his heavenly home after a long battle with diabetes.
Francisco "Frank" was born on September 30 th , 1940, in Laredo, Texas, to his parents Francisco and Josefa R. Molina. In 1959, he graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, Texas, where he was co-editor of La Pitaya Annual . He then went on to attend Laredo Junior College from 1960-1962 and Texas A & I University from 1963-1964, graduating from the latter with a bachelor's degree in English. After completion of his studies, Frank served in the Air Force reserves before dedicating his life to teaching. He taught English in Eagle Pass, Texas, for 38 years, retiring in 2002.
Frank was a patient and supportive teacher with a passion for literacy and grammar. He loved reading, travel and old movies.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Josefa, his twin brother, Alfonsito, and his sisters, Ina and Olga Molina.
He is survived by his brother, Jose Fausto Molina (Lydia), his sister Sylvia A. Molina and his cousins, Vicky Rodriguez, Celia Boriak (Jim), and Oscar Martinez (Anita) as well as his nephew Jose F. Molina, Jr (Kimberley), nieces Norma Ybarra (Ed) and Marty Diaz (Juan) and his great nieces and nephews Eddy (Miranda), Vanessa, Avry, Kiren, Jordan, Brody, and Emeshaw.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for Francisco will be held on Monday, March 11 th, from 4 pm to 9 pm and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 pm at the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels on San Bernardo Ave . Funeral Services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday March 12 th . Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank's life.
