Obituary

FRANCISCO VELOZ

Francisco Veloz, 73, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at a local hospital.

Mr. Veloz was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Agustin Veloz and Francisca Sustaita Veloz.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 44 years of marriage, Maria Victoria Veloz.
Children, Jaime A. (Brenda) Veloz, Cynthia (Jose) De La Garza, Francisco Agustin Veloz, Victoria Alejandra Veloz.
Grandchildren, Elisa Veloz, Ivan Veloz, Alexa Veloz, Lizeth De La Garza, Isabella De La Garza, Liliana De La Garza and Ariadna De La Garza.
Siblings, Jaime Veloz, Marco Veloz, Elida Coronado, Ana Rubio, Refugio Veloz and Jesus Veloz.

Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.  A rosary and a vigil of the deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Roger Martinez, will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will be held on a later date.
