In Loving Memory of Franklin Leroy Medford

Franklin Leroy Medford passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He was the beloved son of the late Beatrice S. Herrera and the late Samuel Joseph Medford. He was the devoted husband to the love of his life, Maria Teresa Medford, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.

Leroy was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in San Antonio, TX.

He was a loving father to Leroy Medford (Michelle), Loralie Medford (the late Alberto Barajas), and Lorraine Medford Olavarria (Lev).
His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren: Alexandria Perez (Kasandra) Analee Narvaez (Gabriel), Michele Olavarria, Veleni Olavarria, Brianna Olavarria and Lia Medford. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through each of them.

Leroy was a hardworking and dedicated businessman who took great pride in building a life through his work. For more than 35 years, he proudly owned and operated both Roy’s Auto Center and the 68 Club. Through his businesses, he built lasting relationships, shared countless memories, and welcomed friends through the years. The 68 Club’s motto, “Where Good Friends Meet,” was a fitting reflection of the friendships and connections he made throughout his life.

Beyond his work and businesses, Leroy loved being outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time doing what he loved. He also loved bringing his family together through food and tradition. Sundays were especially meaningful, as he loved grilling for his family and sharing a meal together.

Leroy will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved, the hard work he devoted to his family, and the countless memories he created throughout the years. His love, strength, and presence will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
