GENARO GUADALUPE CARDENAS ESCAMILLA Genaro Guadalupe Cardenas Escamilla, 64, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Cardenas Escamilla was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico and had been a long life resident of San Antonio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Cardenas Guerrero and Armandina Escamilla Saucedo Guerrero. He is survived by his children, Genaro Cardenas Jr., Daniel Cardenas, Gloria Cardenas and Maria Armandina Cardenas Nine grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Maria Del Carmen Ramirez and Alfonso (Estela) Lopez. Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
