GENARO CONTRERAS Genaro Contreras, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at his local residence. Mr. Contreras was born in Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gabina Tristan and by his father, Pablo Contreras. Sons, Genaro Contreras Jr., Jose Rogelio Contreras and Juan Antonio Contreras. Grandson, Jorge Alberto Contreras Jr. Brother, Maximilio Contreras. He is survived by his wife, Maria Del Carmen Contreras. Children, Paula Garza, Amadita (Jose N.) Guardiola, Jorge Alberto (Melissa) Contreras, Javier Contreras, Maria C. (Ricardo) Ramirez, Monica (Richard) Reuter, Genaro Contreras from Dallas, Texas, Francisco Contreras, Genaro Contreras from Fort Worth, Texas and Gerardo Contreras. Numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Sister, Esperanza Contreras. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
