GEORGE A. DONOVAN

George A. Donovan, 64, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Donovan was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.

George was deeply loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. For over 20 years, he worked in the restaurant industry, where his warmth and kindness allowed him to form meaningful connections with everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Rosa Donovan.
Step-father, Rufino Benavides.
Maternal grandmother, Paulita S. Cantu.

He is survived by his siblings, Azeneth (Raul) Reyes, Araceli (Anthony) Winterroth, Oscar (Patricia) Donovan, Gladys (Tony) Tijerina, Jacqueline Lozano and Michael Donovan.

Also surviving him are numerous loving nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10 a.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
