GERARDO GONZALEZ JR. Gerardo Gonzalez, Jr., 43, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Miguel and Emma Perales. Uncle, Alonzo Roel Perales. He is survived by his son, Justin James (Leslie) Gonzalez. Granddaughter, Jaylie Mariah Gonzalez. Parents, Emma E. Gonzalez and Gerardo Gonzalez Sr. Sister, Ana Yvette (Rene) Reyna. Also surviving him are uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
