A lifelong grocery store man, Tomas Moore started with HEB in San Antonio and stayed with the chain for twenty-five years, working his way from package boy up to district manager headquartered in Laredo, before leaving to start his own grocery store and operating that for five years. He then took a manager position with Sam's Club. He became director of stores for Sam's Club's Mexico division, before returning to Laredo to run the club, where he worked until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Tomas Moore and Maria Peralta Moore.

Sister, Martha Boaz.

He is survived by his wife, of 51 years of marriage, Diana Porras Moore.

Daughter, Diana M. (Scott) Kerkis.

Sons, Tom and Mario Moore, Sam (Heather) Moore and Marc Moore.

Grandchildren, Rachel, David, Sadie, Rebecca Kerkis and Kate Moore.

Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin t 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. John Newman Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will be held on a later date.
