GERONIMO GALLEGOS
Geronimo Gallegos, 78, returned to his heavenly home on July 24, 2020 at Doctors Hospital of Laredo. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Geronimo was born to the late Cayetano Sr. and Isabel Gallegos in Laredo, TX on July 20, 1942. He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. Even though he was a man of a few words his heart was always filled with joy, happiness and his love for music. He was a man dedicated to his wife and family, therefore he was number one to all.
Geronimo was blessed with a large and loving family. He married the love of his life, Maria del Carmen Flores, on April 7, 1967, in Laredo, TX. Geronimo helped raise his three daughters with patience, discipline and love. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the Lord.
Geronimo survived by his wife, Maria del Carmen Gallegos; his daughters, Claudia Gallegos, Raquel Herrera (Carlos Herrera) and Mari Carmen Gallegos (Jose Torres); his grandchildren, Renato Medina Jr., Isabel Medina, Jose F. Torres Jr., Miguel A. Torres, Ejay A. Herrera and Jorge G. Torres. His great grandchild, Romeo L. Moreno; sister, Concepcion Rodriguez, (Ernesto Rodriguez+) and numerous family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cayetano Gallegos Sr. and Isabel Montelongo Gallegos; brothers, Cayetano Gallegos Jr. and Adan Gallegos.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, Visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church.
