GERONIMO SERNA MERCADO

Geronimo Serna Mercado, 80, passed away in  Laredo, Texas on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Mr. Serna was born in Los Colorados, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Hernandez de Serna.

Parents, Nicolas Serna and Alejandra Mercado.

Brother, Guadalupe Serna.

Daughter, Silvia G.  Serna de Contreras.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy M. (Serna) Valadez and Sandra L. (Serna) Jimenez.

Sons, Rolando Serna, Miguel A. Serna and Geronimo C. Serna.

Sisters, Maria de la Luz Serna and Francisca Serna.

14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . A Liturgy of the Word, officiated by Rev. Deacon Jerry Morales, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Committal services will be held on a later date.
