GILDARDO R. RODRIGUEZ Gildardo R. Rodriguez has answered the Lords calling and passed on June 21, 2013 at 76 glorious years of life. To all that knew him, he was known as "Gil"but to his grandchildren, they affectionately called him "Viejo". He was the first born to Manuel and Francisca Rodriguez on November 28, 1936. He was an alumni of St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Tx. He married the love of his life Margarita de Luna Rodriguez on June 18, 2013, they celebrated 52 years of marriage. He devoted his career to helping others and dedicated 36 years to the U.S. Department of Labor Wage & Hour as a Compliance Officer. He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Rodriguez and five beautiful daughters: Laura M. (George) Guerra, Linda R. (Steve) Lanford, Margaret (Mike) Hogan, Kathy (David) Reidenbach and Helen Rodriguez. 11 grandchildren, Crystal, George, Rene, Nikki, Kristina, Heather, Christian, Liana, Carissa, Louie and Jory. 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ava and Bridgette. 3 brothers, Albert (Leverne) Rodriguez, Manuel (Esther) Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and his sister, Margie (Ruben) Vallejo. Also other relatives and close friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:25 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
