GILBERTO JAVIER CAZAREZ

Gilberto Javier Cazarez passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at a local hospital.

Mr. Cazarez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Isauro and Maria Dora Cazarez.

Son, Omar Israel Cazarez.

Brothers, Rafael Alberto Cazarez, Jorge Francisco Cazarez and Ramiro Cazarez.

Sisters, Edna Murad and Dora Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 28 years of marriage, Aida A. Cazarez.

Children, Gilberto Javier (Lina) Cazarez Jr., Orlando Daniel Cazarez, Mayra Gizel Cazarez (Jorge Martinez) and Amber Nicole Cazarez.

11 grandchildren.

Sisters, Elsa Valdez, Araceli Cazarez, Leticia (Fidel) Escobedo, R. C. (Sandra) Cazarez and Cindy Cindy Rosales.

Brother, Frank Cazarez.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Gilberto J. Cazarez Jr., Alfonso R. Mendez Jr., Jorge Martinez, Cody Gonzalez, Frank Cazarez, Johnny Garcia, Leopoldo Aguirre and Jose Jaime.
