GLORIA F. GOMEZ
Gloria F. Gomez, 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Gomez had been an employee of UISD and worked as a school nurse for Newman Elementary for over 15 years. She retired and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Antonio and Maria Trejo, her father, Jose Fuentes, her siblings, Jesus Fuentes and Jose Fuentes Jr., She was also preceded in death by her in laws, Florentino and Florentina Gomez, sister in law, Olga Gomez and nephew, Cesar Guerra.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Reynaldo Gomez.
She is also survived by her children, Reynaldo (Belda) Gomez Jr., Graciela (Antonio) Martinez, Cynthia Gomez and Cristina Gomez.
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Brother-in-law, Miguel Gomez.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her loving ways.
PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Reynaldo Gomez Jr, Albert Mendoza, Jose Gomez III, Humberto Guerrero III, Jeronimo V. Santos, Antonio Martinez and Karina Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave
. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
