Gloria S. Morales, 84, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Mrs. Morales was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She was an Educator with the Laredo Independent School District for 40 years until her retirement.She taught at Santa Maria Elementary School and at Leyendecker Elementary School. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness having been baptized in 1984. She was an active member of the Central English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Eloisa Salazar.

Brothers, Humberto Salazar and Bernardino Salazar.

Nephew, Xavier Arriaga.

Aunt, Teresa G. Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Sergio Morales and Eloisa (Edgar G.†) Cerda.

Grandchildren, Yesenia (Israel) Mendoza, Yanira (Heriberto) Benavides and Edgar G. (Tiffany) Cerda Jr.

Great-grandchildren, Raymond Mendoza, Carlos Peña, Adrian Lopez, Melody Mendoza and Melvin Cerda.

Nephews, and nieces, Teresa Salazar, Julia Salazar, Berthi Salazar Santiago Salazar, Humberto Salazar Jr. and Bernardino Salazar.

Sister-in-Law, Bertha R. Salazar.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service by Elder Ruben Villarreal of Central English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
