Grace Chapa

Graciela Chapa, 63 passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, peacefully at her residence. Born and raised in Laredo TX, she was the daughter of the late Hector Chapa and Dolores Neira Chapa. She was a long-time resident of Frederick.

In her early years, Ms. Chapa graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, TX, and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband, Horacio Rodriguez, have been together since high school and were married in 1996 in Laredo, TX. For most of her career, Grace worked for the Internal Revenue Service. She loved doing crafts as a hobby, playing computer games, and was a big Star Trek fan.

Graciela's memory is left to be cherished by: her husband Horacio of 25 years; her sisters, Leticia Chapa, Delia Sanchez, and Diana Calderon; her brother, Hector Chapa Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
