GRACIELA R. GONZALEZ

Graciela R. Gonzalez, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 surounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a long life resident. She was an active member of the Laredo Medical Center Senior Circle, She was a precinct Judge for many years during the local elections. She was a very approachable and loving person that was always available to help those that were encountering various problems or difficulties in their lives. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, who was always placing her family first in her life. A very strong woman that was a fighter and very caring of all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Rene Gonzalez.
Daughter, Maria Graciela Ruiz.
Granddaughter, Yvonne Soto.
Grandson Emiliano Ruiz.
Son-in-Law, Enrique Ruiz Jr.
Parents, Eulogio and Guadalupe Rodriguez.
Siblings, Eulogio Rodriguez Jr., Aurora Salazar, Antonio Rodriguez, Ms. Guadalupe Garza and Jose Calixto Rodriguez.
She is survived by her daughters, Idalia (Juan Jose) Soto, Zulema (Jorge) Garza, Margie R. (Jose) Guzman and a loving friend whom she considered her daughter, Hilda Negrete.
Grandchildren, Yolanda (Gary) Soto, Yessenia (Esteban) Soto, Enrique Ruiz III, Erica (Robert) Ruiz, Esteban Ruiz, George E. Garza, Melissa (Leandro) Lara, Norma Graciela Garza, Manuel Rene Garza, Jose Guzman Jr., Jorge Rafael Guzman and Antonio Villarreal.
Great grandchildren, Aiden Garibay, Anna Alexandra Garibay, Yvonne Anna Moncivais, Alexei (Lazaro) Flores, Eunice Ruiz, Eileen Ruiz, Evany Arredondo, Eliud Arredondo, Eliana (Babi) Jimenez, Carlos Manuel Ruiz, Emma Grace Ruiz, Erianna Ruiz, Jayden Lara and Janelle Garza.
Her beloved pets, Lucheese and Marshall.
Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Gabriel Vargas, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Holy Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Alejandro Salazar at 9:30 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS: Margie R. Guzman, Zulema Garza, Erica Ruiz, Eunice Ruiz, Yolanda Soto, Yessenia Soto, Melissa Lara and Norma G. Garza.
