Obituary

GREG DICKINSON

Greg Dickinson, 94, entered into eternal rest on June 21st in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.
He attended Martin High School and was one of the 11 Iron Men Football Team. He excelled in all sports and was an avid golfer; he officiated middle and high school sports; he was owner of the family business (The Laredo Mattress Factory) and he also worked and retired as a truant officer for LISD. He proudly served his country in the US Army (Korean War Conflict). He was a devoted Catholic and loving family man.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Gregorio and Maria Dickinson.
His beloved wife, Blanca E. Dickinson
Brother, William (Lillian) Dickinson.
Sister, Lucy Dickinson Martinez (Romero) and Olga Dickinson.
Grandson, Freddy L. Gonzalez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Darlene (Jose Orlando) Noyola, Greg (Sylvia) Dickinson, Ezza Gust (Joe Rodriguez), Margot (David) Fowles, Claire (Albert) Sanchez and Melody Dickinson (Roberto Jimenez).
9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Charles (Carmela) Dickinson;
Sister, Margaret (Arturo) Melendez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Laredo City Cemetery. Military Honors and the presentation of the United States Flag were provided by the  Laredo Veteran's Honorguard.
PALLBEARERS WERE: G.J. Dickinson, Kevin Dickinson, Erick Gonzalez, Ryan Ramirez, Carlos Gust, Zachary Palomo and Tristan Vela.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Sebastian Jimenez.
