GREGORIA A. GARIBAY

Gregoria A. Garibay, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Garibay was born in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years of marriage Ventura Garibay, by her parents, Demetrio Avila Lopez and Vicenta M. Avila, her brothers Esteban Avila and Leandro Avila and by her sisters, Felipa Avila Balderas, Lila Avila Garcia and Francisca Avila Diaz.

She is survived by her sons and daughter, Gerardo (Leticia) Izaguirre, Ignacio (Oliva) Izaguirre and Sandra Garibay.

Her grandchildren, Daisy Izaguirre, Virginia (Dale) Izaguirre, Erika (Amber) Izaguirre, Pedro Izaguirre, Angel Izaguirre, Leandro (Melissa) Lara, Alexandra (Russell) Moya, Angela (Miguel Gonzalez) Martinez and Ashley Martinez.

Her great-grandchildren, Jayden Lara, Russell Moya III and Alethia Moya.

Also surviving her are nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed in the family plot at the Laredo City Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Leandro LAra, Jose Izaguirre, Sergio Salinas, Russell Paul Moya, Ignacio Izaguirre, Dale Bobar, Martin Avila and Felix Avila.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Sandra Garibay, Alexando Moya, Angela Martinez and Ashley Martinez.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral  Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
