Guadalupe H. Correa was called to her eternal rest on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Lupita as she was affectionately called was born in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico on January 18, 1939. She lived in Laredo for more than 50 years.
She went to college in Mexico and became an accountant. She married the love of her life, the late Pedro Correa. She is preceded in death by her parents Maria Luisa Pavon and Jose Angel Hernandez, and her loving husband Pedro Correa.
Lupita worked in various jobs throughout her lifetime such as a apartments housekeeper, factory worker, and housewife.
For more than 50 years, she was part of the Salvation Army Corps. in Laredo as a soldier. She lived a Christian life and was always involved with the Church events and fellowship. Lupita had an immense heart and helped Salvation Army by participating in during the Holidays, as a bell ringer.
Lupita was an avid dancer and loved music. "Perfumes de Gardenia", was her favorite song of all time. She enjoyed crafts, beading, solved word searches, watched "novelas", shopping, playing family games, and loved to travel to Mexico.
She is survived by her son: Peter Correa, Jr., Janie Correa, her grandchildren: Peter Correa III, Paul Correa, Carolina Correa, and her beloved "Bella" Yorkie.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A funeral procession then departed the funeral home and a graveside ceremony was held at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery for the rite of committal and interment.
PALLBEARERS: Peter Correa Jr., Peter Correa III, Paul Correa, Carlos Thompson, Bryan Ruiz, Roberto Hernandez.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
