GUADALUPE CORTEZ
Guadalupe Cortez, 73, passed away on August 16, 2021.
Mr. Cortez was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Zeferino Cortez and Filomena E. Cortez.
Sisters, Leticia Ruiz-Cortez and Graciela Cortez.
Brother, Jorge Cortez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Santa Inez Cortez.
Children, Jorge (Maria) Cortez, Veronica (Guadalupe) Madrigal and Mario (Yessenia) Cortez.
Grandchildren, Karla (Norman Madrigal) Cortez, Mario Cortez Jr., Karina Cortez, George Cortez Jr., Angel Madrigal, Gabriel Madrigal, Carolina Madrigal, Luis Cortez and Yessenia Cortez.
Sibling, Fernando Cortez (Griselda), Marco Antonio (Yolanda) Cortez, Hernan (Rosa) Cortez, Gloria (Rudy) Martinez, Zeferino (Carmela) Cortez.
Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the
Hernandez- Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels , 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church . Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
