. GUADALUPE ACOSTA JR.
Mr. Guadalupe Acosta Jr., 83, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mr. Acosta was born in Devine, Texas on January 13, 1935.
He was employed by Phillip 66 as an Electrician and Mechanic in 1960 and later worked for the United Artist Theater.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Petra Acosta.
Sons, David Acosta and Manuel E. Montoya.
Sisters, Benita Valdez, Maria Nieves Flores, Antonia Vargas and Tina Blair.
Surviving him are his wife, Rosa E. Acosta.
Sons, George (Diana) Acosta and Miguel (Elizabeth) Acosta.
Daughter, Veronica (Marc) Martinez.
Grandchildren, Kevin, Cody, Madison, Matthew, Makayla Acosta, Eben and Danica Martinez.
Brother, Rufino (Angela) Acosta.
Sisters, Amelia Malacara and Rosario (Eliseo) Valdez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
