Obituary

MISS GUADALUPE MODESTA ONTIVEROS
Miss Guadalupe Modesta Ontiveros, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Laredo, Texas.
Miss Ontiveros was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
During her youth she attended Mary Help of Christian School and San Agustin High School. Upon graduation she attended Laredo Junior College and graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She dedicated her nursing career to service at the Old Mercy Hospital, Doctors Hospital, the Cedar Health Clinic and the Gateway Community Center.
She is preceded in death by her Sister, Juana Luisa Contreras.
Niece, Lucilla Velazquez.
She is survived by her Nieces and Nephews, Martha A. (Mundo) Velazquez, Luis A. Velazquez, Eduardo (Veronica) Velazquez, Amada (Bernabe) Barrientos, Guadalupe (Pedro) Velazquez, Grizelda Velazquez, Gabriella (Hugo) Contreras, Raquel Velazquez, Reynaldo (Dolores)  Aguilar & Family.
Also surviving her are other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
