MS. GUADALUPE R. GARCIA Ms. Guadalupe R. Garcia, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at a local retirement home. Ms. Garcia was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margarito and Tirza Romo. Spouse, Refugio Garcia. 3 sons, Juan R. Garcia, Victor Garcia and Jesus Garcia. Daughter, Maria De La Luz Garcia. 2 Brothers, Eduardo (Zoila) Romo and Inez (Maria) Romo. She is survived by her children, Alejos (Maria) Garcia, Magdalena (David) Guevara, Dora Almeida, Norma Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Raul Armando Garcia and Virginia Ingalbraxon. 35 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Daughter-in-Law, Inez Garcia. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
