GUILLERMINA PERALES
Guillermina Perales, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on December 17, 1933, in Laredo, Texas, Guillermina was known for her caring and friendly nature, which touched the lives of all who knew her.
Guillermina devoted her life to volunteering at Laredo Medical Center with the auxiliary volunteers. She was passionate about helping others and would also make jewelry as gifts for patients and to be sold at the gift shop (funds would be donated to the hospital).
Guillermina dedicated over 30 years of her professional life as a valued supervisor at a shoe manufacturing company. Her work ethic and dedication were a testament to her character, earning her respect and admiration throughout her career.
Family was the cornerstone of Guillermina's life. She married Enrique Perales in 1959, building a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Guillermina leaves behind her loving husband, Enrique Perales and her sons, Jorge Perales and Eduardo (Sally) Perales; her legacy continues through her 9 grandchildren, Sarah (A.J.) Rano, David (Barbara) Perales, Michael (Paige) Perales, Mathew Perales, Christina Perales, Victoria (Stanley) Phillips, Eddie (Olivia) Perales, Molly (Helgi) Kristinsson, and Cindy (Joaquin) Tomas; and 7 great grandchildren, Ronan, Elizabeth, Luke, Paisley, Scarlett, Vivian, and Lucia who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Guillermina's nurturing spirit and unwavering support were constants in the lives of her family, and her memory will be treasured.
As we remember Guillermina Perales, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and dedication. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her memory will remain a guiding light for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
The Perales family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude to Christina Castillo, Lourdes Pedraza, Elvia Esquivel, Sandra Silva, Maria Gonzalez, Dr. C. Orces, and the skilled, caring and loving staff members of LMC and Laredo Specialty Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: David Perales, Michael Perales, David Perales, Ricardo Perales, David Rosing, Keven Rosing, Daniel Perales and Rene Perales.
