HECTOR B. LOZANO

Hector B. Lozano, 83, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 23, 2018 surrounded by his family at his bedside.

He was born in Laredo, Texas on January 7, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Laredo.

Upon graduation from Martin High School in 1953, he enlisted in in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served for three years and then attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education. Mr. Lozano taught for several years in Encinal, Texas, and at Laredo Independent School District.

Mr. Lozano was preceeded in death by his father, Salomon Lozano and his mother, Avelina Gonzalez Lozano, sister, Norma E. Lozano Musaliar (Shahal Musaliar), brother, Rolando Lozano (Ana Maria A. Lozano), and sister, Blanca Aurora Lozano.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ma. Teresa C. Lozano, 53 years married, his children; Hector V. Lozano, Jr. (Marvelin P. Lozano), Elsa L. Lerma (Luis Martin Lerma), and Omar C. Lozano, his brother, Aberlardo S. Lozano, his sister, Nellie L. Rivera (Rogelio Rivera), and his grandchildren: Luis G. Lozano, Jr., Katrina L. Lerma, and Martin A. Lerma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
