HECTOR R. SALINAS SR. Hector R. Salinas Sr., 54, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Salinas was born in Columbia, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Celia R. Salinas. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda A. Salinas. Son, Hector (Karla) Salinas Jr. Granddaughter, Kayla Annelle Salinas. Father, Agustin Salinas. Brother and Sisters, Juan Salinas, Celia Salinas, Raquel (Lauro) Gomez, Antonia (Moises) Vivan and Elizabeth Salinas. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon at Nuestra Senora Del Rosario Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
