HECTOR ROGELIO ZEPEDA
5/10/1988 – 4/12/2022
Hector Rogelio (Toro) Zepeda, 33, was called by the Lord, on April 12, 2022.
Mr. Zepeda was born in Laredo, Texas, on May 10, 1988 and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from United South High School,, in 2006. While at United South, he played Football and his passion, Baseball. He graduated in the top 10 of his Class and attended Texas State University, where he played baseball for the Bobcats. He worked at the family business, Alma's Pet Care, where his mother showed him how to groom pets. He continued playing baseball for the Cerveseros de Nuevo Laredo. Hector will be dearly remembered and missed by all who will truly miss him for his contagious smile and his wit.
He is preceded in death by his father, Felipe De Jesus Zepeda Sr.
Paternal grandparents, Hector Martinez Barbarena and Yolanda Lugo Martinez.
Maternal Grandparents, Manuel Collazo and Pascuala B. Collazo.
Uncles, Antonio Collazo and Jose Fortunato Bernal.
Aunts, Berta Collazo and Maria de Jesus Bernal.
He is survived by his loving mother, Almarosa Zepeda.
Brothers, Jose Manuel (Norma) Guerrero Sr. and Felipe de Jesus (Luz Maria) Zepeda Jr.
His loyal dog, JR.
Aunts, Josefina Sanchez and Estela Collazo.
Nieces and nephews, Leah Alessandra Zepeda, Andrea Raquel Guerrero, Jose Manuel Guerrero Jr., Roel Ricardo Cavazos, Perla Deyanira Alva, Taily Sayd Alva and Kendra Janney Hernandez.
Also surviving are other relatives and many friends who loved him unconditionally.
Mr. Zepeda's Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Julia Cortez, Padrinos Hugo and Ester Garcia, Ricardo and Marta Oliva.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 departing from the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Jose Manuel Guerrero Sr., Felipe de Jesus Zepeda Jr., Andre Manuel Collazo, Jorge Nery Collazo, Jose Manuel Guerrero Jr., Saulo Pedroza, Andrea Raquel Guerrero and Roel Ricardo Cavazos.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Jesse Sanchez, Joseph Jaime, Rolando Piña, Ricardo Ramos, Raul Cantu, Frank Vasquez and Josef Garcia.
