HILARIO BENAVIDES Hilario Benavides, 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Longoria was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a resident for all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Benavides. Daughters, Diana Benavides, Gladys Benavides and Viviana Benavides. Sons, Armando Benavides and Roberto Benavides. Grandchildren, Gabriel Benavides and Carlos Martinez. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and a Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
