Hortencia P. Guevara, 79, entered into eternal life on Thursday June 9, 2016. Born in Agujitas, Coahuila she made Laredo TX her permanent residence for all her adult life.

Hortencia Guevara dedicated her life to being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There was never a dull moment in her presence. She lived life with a pure heart and believed in the powers of forgiveness. The joy of her laugher and smile from the genuine outlook she had on life will forever be embedded in her loved one's hearts.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raul Guevara, her parents Octaviano and Leocadia Pruneda, brothers and sisters Payino, Ruben, Fela, Lala, Sara, Mimi and grandson Raul Guevara III.

Mrs. Guevara is survived by her sister Lile Pruneda, children Maria Leticia (Andres) Sanchez, Dora Elia (Luis Gerardo) Castaneda, Raul (Sylvia) Guevara, Margarita Saldana, Mario(Janie)Guevara, Rosa(Jose)Sanchez, Ramiro(Sonia)Guevara; grandchildren Cynthia Guerra, Claudia Sanchez, Hilda Martinez, Ricardo(Jessica)Guevara, Marissa(Jose)Peche, Jennifer Sanchez, Melissa Guevara, Leslie Sanchez, Roberto Guevara, Andres Sanchez III, Cassandra Guevara, Nicole Guevara, Rosa Maria Sanchez, Samantha Trujillo, Amanda Sanchez, Elliot Dominguez, Karelli Guevara, Abigail Dominguez, Selena Saldana and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitations will be held on Monday June 13, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez & Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and Interment will then follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
