HORTENCIA R. RODRIGUEZ Hortencia R. Rodriguez, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Rodriguez. Grandson, Teofilo Esquivel. Brother, Jose Rodriguez. Sisters, Consuelo Gonzalez and Virginia Rodriguez. She is survived by her children, Maria Luisa "Lulu" (Jim) Garcia, Raul "Chito" Rodriguez, Jr., Arabela (Thomas) Alfred, Nora (Horacio, Jr.) Acevedo, Jorge (Rosaura) Rodriguez, Sergio (Edna) Rodriguez, Edmundo Rodriguez, Edna Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez, Arnoldo Rodriguez and Ezequiel (Diana) Rodriguez. 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A special heartfelt thanks to our mother's caretaker, Hortencia Garcia Davalos. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez & Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
