HUMBERTO HERRERA
"LA PERICA"
Our hearts are broken,our beloved father Humberto Herrera gained his wings to heaven on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Herrera was well known for his generosity, his love for conjuto music. He owned Mr. H. Sound System, for over 10 years. He was employed by the City of Laredo Health Department, Martin High School, Laredo Junior College and Laredo Job Corps.
Humberto was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Julia V. Herrera and shared 60 years of loving matrimony. "Dad", you inspired us to be strong, work hard and be "humble".
Surviving Mr. Herrera are his loving children, Juan Humberto Herrera, Maria (Juan) Hernandez, Raul (Sonia) Herrera, Ruben Herrera and Gloria (David) Castillo.
10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Special thanks to Susana Castro his palomita for all the love and compassion. Also to Teresa Medina and many other providers who loved and cared for both mom and dad.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 departing from the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Pablo Castillo, Daniel Castillo, Raul Herrera Jr., Rolando Herrera, Juan Hernandez, Jr., David Castillo, Armando Martinez and Hector Navarro.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Juan Humberto Herrera, Juan Herrera, Ruben Herrera, Ruben Montemayor and Heriberto Herrera Sr.+.
