IGNACIO OLVERA

Ignacio Olvera, 84, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Mr. Olvera was born in Agua Nueva, Cuahuila, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Maria Olvera.

Brother, Santiago Olvera.

He is survived by his loving wife,of 56 years of marriage, Petra M. Olvera.

Children, Ana M. Olvera, Elizabeth Olvera, Moises (Crystal) Olvera, Aaron (Renee) Olvera and Jonathan Olvera.

5 grandchildren.

Sisters, Teodora (Jose) Garcia, Francisca Olvera and Juana Lorea.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with an opportunity to speak at an open mic hour at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A religious service will be held in fht efuneral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
