Obituary

INOCENTE R. FLORES Inocente R. Flores, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at a local retirement home. She was born December 28, 1932 in Nogalito Ranch. The daughter of Dolores Gonzalez Rosalez and Jose Buentello Ramon the last of the family. She was raised at the Nogalito Ranch, Encinal and Michigan while working the fields and picking cherries. She lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. On July 13, 1950 she married, Tomas C. Flores in Ludington, Michigan. She went back to school after all her kids had graduated and in 1989 she receiced her GED. Her motto was "IF I CAN DO IT SO CAN YOU!!!" She was also "President" seller for Avon something that gave her great pleasure of servicing the people of Encinal. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose B. Ramon and Dolores Rosales and by her children, Beatriz, Adriana and Tomas Jr. Flores. Sisters, Leandra Nieto, Silvestre Flores, Epifania Yanez, Venustiana Soto, Demetria Ramirez and Mercedes Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Tomas C. Flores. Children, Maria Teresa (Encarnacion) Trevino, Alejandra Bernal, Roberto (Paulita) Flores and Roxanna (Roberto) Cortinas of Laredo, TX., Maria Andrea (Bernard) Privette of Rio Rico, AZ, Nalda (Jerry) Flores of San Antonio, TX, Dora Luz Flores of Somerset, TX. 2 granddaughters she helped raise; Christine Holguin of Rio Rico, AZ and Maria Antoinette (William) Bookter of Somerset, TX. 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Retama South Staff, LMC 5th floor staff, Altus Hospice and Dr. Arturo Garza-Gongora. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
