IRENE Z. GONZALEZ

Irene Z. Gonzalez, 73, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnoldo Gonzalez.

Brother, Juan Zepeda.

Sister, Maria Elena Zepeda.

She is survived by her children, Juan (Apolonia) Flores Jr., Anabel (Francisco) Almeida, Arnoldo Gonzalez Jr. and Irasema I. Gonzalez.

11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mother, Maria Ignacia Zepeda.

Brother, Bill Garcia.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m, and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Destiny I. Elizaloe, Juan Flowers, Danny Flowers, Arnold Gonzalez III, Maria Elena Zepeda, Juan Zepeda Jr., Francisco  De La Torre and Damon Ramirez.
