Obituary

IRENE A. NAVARRO

Irene A. Navarro, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at a local hospital.

Mrs Navarro was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident. She worked for many years at Joe Brand of Laredo and later with Lady Brand, where she was one of the top sales ladies.She was a graduate of Martin High School, Class of 1950. In her middle years, she was very active with the Martin High School Band Parents Association and the L'Avenir Social Club. She loved gardening, travel and most of all she cherished her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eligio Lopez and Sofia Morales de Lopez.

Her beloved husband, Candelario Navarro.

She is survived by her children, Daniel A. Navarro, Sandra A. Tristan , (Jose Luis Tristan), David A. Navarro, Hector A. Navarro, Sara A. Garcia and Fidel A. Navarro (Idalia Navarro).

Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Sister, Evangelina A. Villarreal.

Sister-in-Law, Maria Jovita Ramirez.

Also surviving her are nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Following the ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 8700 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
