IRINEO BARBOZA Irineo Barboza, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Barbosa was born n Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for sometime. Mr. Barbosa was employed at Laredo Animal Shelter for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Astanacio and Melquiares Barbosa. Also by his 3 brothers and his son, Juan Jose Barbosa. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years of marriage, Juana A. Barbosa. Children, Julio Javier (Margarita) Barbosa, Florentina (Narcisso) Charles, Santiago (Christina) Barbosa, Roberto Barbosa, Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" (Poncho) Barbosa and Rosa Margarita (Jesus) Anguiano. Daughter-in-Law, San Juanita Barbosa. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
