IRMA YOLANDA BENAVIDES
Irma Yolanda Benavides, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at a hospital in San Antonio.
Mrs. Benavides was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She was a person who always cared for everyone and was known to give a lot of her time without hesitation. She was an avid Bingo and Loteria enthusiast and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cesar and Maria Luisa Martinez.
Her beloved husband, Cristobal Benavides.
Grandson, Javier Alejandro Martinez.
Great granddaughter, Alessandra Martinez.
Brother, Cesar Angel Martinez.
She is survived by her children, Leticia (Javier) Martinez, Sonia (Miguel) Rendon, Jackie (Mario) Castillo, Miriam (Manuel) Chapa and Cristobal (Paulina) Benavides IV.
17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Sisters, Maria de Jesus Martinez, Maria Concepcion (Hector) Santos and Maria Luisa (Eugenio) Villarreal.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
