IRMA A. GONZALEZ
Irma A. Gonzalez, 59, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. She was employed at the City of Laredo Public Library - Children's Department, where she provided 29 years of service. Her Motto was "Go Children". She was a devout Catholic who completed the ACTS retreat and participated with ACTS up until her passing, as a member of the "Comunidad de ACTS de Mujeres de San Luis Rey". She was loved and will be dearly missed and remembered by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Garza.
Sister, Brenda Flores.
Grandson, Mateo Gonzalez.
Parents-in-Law, Alonzo Gonzalez and Josefina Gonzalez.
She is survived by her loving husband, of over 40 years of marriage, Juan Alfredo Gonzalez Sr.
Children, Juan Alfredo (Maribel) Gonzalez Jr., Jose Alonzo (Lisset) Gonzalez and Krystal Gonzalez.
Grandchildren, Emma Gonzalez, +Mateo Gonzalez , Amanda L. Gonzalez, Andrea R. Gonzalez, Jacob A. Gonzalez and Enrique Nicolas Valadez.
Mother, Margarita Garza.
Siblings, Joe Garza Jr., +Brenda Flores, Angie Trevino, Lydia Saucedo, Guadalupe Garza, Raquel Garza, Chano Garza and Pedro Garza.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapels, 2502 Ligarde St.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
