Obituary

Jacinto Alanis, 58, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Alanis was born in Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his mother, Higinia Lopez Alanis. He is survived by his loving wife, Dora A. Alanis. Children, Melissa Caretta (Eduardo J,) Lugo, Jackie Caretta (Sergio) Vasquez, Mildred Alanis, Jacinto H. Alanis and Marlon A. Alanis. 6 grandchildren, Melissa Gonzalez, Alessandra Lugo, Raul Vasquez, Mike Vasquez, Mia Alanis and Maximiliano Alanis. Sister, Graciela Ruiz. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Decesased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
