JACINTO CASTRO
Jacinto Castro, 64, was called by the Lord, on March 6, 2018, surrounded by his family. He graduated from Texas A&I University of Laredo. He was an educator for Laredo Independent School District, who taught over 43 years at several local middle schools and most recently at Cigarroa High School, and as a result, he touched many lives. His passion was teaching and guiding his students toward the right path. He was passionate about his career and always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed and always looked forward to attending the sporting events and school activities, as his students were especially close to his heart. He was an example of kindness and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Maxima Castro, Brother Jose R. Castro, and Sister Antonia Landeros .
He is survived by his siblings Marcelina Castillo, Francisca (Mel ) Johnson, Josefina (Aurelio*)Noyola, Consuelo (Carlos) Torres, Maria Carmen Castro, Jorge De la Cruz, Raquel Estrada, Marta (Oscar) Jasso.
Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, former students and many friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the LMC Intensive Care Unit, all his doctors and especially to Dr. Benson Huang and Dr. Carlos Espinoza for the exceptional care they provided for him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. A prayer service will commence at 7 p.m. officiated by Pastor Tony Gutierrez at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 12, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. departing from the funeral home to New Life Assembly of God Church for a mass at 9 a.m. Interment will follow immediately after in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Kidney Foundation or any entity of your choice.
