JAVIER AVINA
Javier Aviña, 65, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at a local hospital.
Mr. Aviña was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long life resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tomas Aviña and Esther V. Aviña.
Brother, Tomas Aviña Jr.
He is survived by his sisters, Norma L. (Juan) Montes, Adriana (Rene) Barraza, Rosa Villarreal and Maria Magdalena (Jose Antonio) Montes.
Nephews and nieces, Rene Barraza Jr., Jennifer Montes, Tracy B. Garza, Kimberly Montes, Denia Alyssa Garcia, John Thomas Montes, Gabriela G. Garcia, Alina Montes, Josue A. Montes, Christian Barraza, Alfredo Garcia Jr. and Lydia A. Aviña.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased were held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will be held on a later date.
