JESUS G. LARA
Jesus G. Lara, 95, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
Mr. Lara was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He served in the United States Army from 1652-1953 and was stationed in Germany, where he was a Signal Corps. to provide and manage communications and information systems. After serving his country, he became an employer for the US Postal Service in Hammond, Indiana. After his retirement, he served as a volunteer at the American Legion. He loved to watch the weather channel. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Basilio and Dolores Lara.
His beloved wife, Maria Luisa Lara.
Brothers, Roberto Lara and Basilio Lara Jr.
Son-in-Law, Juan Molina.
Brother-in-Law, Raul Morales.
He is survived by his daughters, Gisela Molina and Melinda Ann (Robert) Gonzalez.
Grandchildren, Roy Gilbert Lara, Reuben J. Lara, Andrea Molina, Juan Molina Jr. and Rolando Molina.
Great grandson, Ethan M. Molina.
Brother, Arturo (Concepcion) Lara.
Sisters, Genoveva Morales and Maria (Santos) Pompa.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Lara's Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Carlos Llanes and Staff, Dr. Anthony Galan and Staff, Dr. Alfredo Camero and Staff, La Esperanza Home Health and Staff, Med Life Home Health and Staff, LMC/ICU Staff, Doctors Hospital wound healing center and Staff, Dr. Galo Optical, American Legion and his Caretakers, Alicia Rayo, Nelly Proctor-Sierra and Margarita Diaz.
Funeral services were held on Monday, February 6, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.
The Family would appreciate for all those attending funeral services on Monday, February 6, 2023, to please wear white attire.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Roy G. Lara, Reuben J. Lara, Eloy Lara, Juan Molina Jr., Raul Morales Jr., Jesus J. Rodriguez Jr., Noe Guajardo and Eddie Benavides.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Roberto Gonzalez and Juan Javier Rodriguez.
