JESUS LOPEZ

Jesus Lopez, 91, entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Alejandra C. Lopez; parents Salvador and Angelita Lopez; brothers Salvador and Rodolfo Lopez;  sisters Hortencia Gomez, Josefina Gomez, Estella West, and Amelia Gamboa;  father and mother-in- law, Alfredo and Isabel Castro and sisters-in-law Maria Gonzalez and Juanita C. Vega.

Jesus, affectionately known as "Cuyo" to many and "Don Jesusito" to his fellow church parishioners, was born in Dolores, Texas. He was the ranch foreman at Dolores Ranch (later known as Las Minas Ranch) until his retirement in 2005.  After the passing of his beloved Alejandra in 2008, Jesus became actively involved in church activities particularly with The Santa Cruz Mission.  He enjoyed ringing the church bell for the Wednesday and Sunday services.  Jesus was a handy man and could fix just about anything.  He always had such a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor.  He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and San Antonio Spurs.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons Jesus Carlos (Juanita) Lopez of Austin, Texas, Ernesto J. (Laura) Lopez of Laredo, Texas, Gerardo A. (Ruth) Lopez of Huntsville, Alabama; daughters, Maria Imelda Lopez and Veronica Lopez, both of Laredo, Texas; grandchildren, David, Sofia, Daniel, Hugo (Veronica), Denise (Jose), and Ivette Lopez; great grandchildren, Isacc, Ivy, Isabella, Iana, Tristen, and Tessa Celeste; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving him are his sisters Gloria L. Perez and Rosa Macias, as well as many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

For the safety of family and his dear friends, visitation services and interment will be private.
