Jesse Martinez, 55, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Laredo, Texas.

Jesse was born in Laredo and had been a lifelong resident. Known for his generosity and kind heart.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Martinez, mother, Margarita Martinez, brothers, Jorge Martinez, Jose Martinez Jr and sister, Gloria Elsa Joiner.

He is survived by his wife, Armandina "Mandy" Martinez. Children, Jesus "Eddie" Martinez Jr, Jessica (Daniel) Poole, Delilah (Richard) Weinert and Raquel (Bryan) Nance.

His beloved grandchildren, who he adored and loved to take on outdoor adventures, Allyson (Tyler), Avery, Cassandra, Elexus "Lexy", Audrey, Caitlyn, Cameron, Liam, Elladee and Chloe (Brittany Aguilera).

Also survived by his siblings, Margarita Athans, Maria Guadalupe (Harold) Ellington, Nora Rodriguez, Jerry Martinez and Jane Melissa (Coy) Kuykendall. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
